Terms of Use
Last updated : 13 October 2026 · Version française
These terms apply to the Dossier Rouge app and the website dossierrouge.com (together, "the service"), published by[publisher's name or company name]. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. The French version is the reference version.
1. The service
Dossier Rouge offers stories (true events, investigations, mysteries, great moments in history, and a few clearly labelled works of fiction) to listen to, read and watch. Some stories are free with ads; others are for Premium members. The available content may change.
Stories sometimes deal with hard subjects (crime, violence, war) and carry a warning when needed. The service is for people aged16 and over.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your password secret. You are responsible for the use of your account.
- An account is personal. It can be used on 3 devices at most; signing in on a new one beyond that signs out the oldest.
- You can delete your account at any time (see Account deletion).
3. Premium: subscriptions, trial and lifetime
- Offers: monthly (€3.97 a month), yearly (€29.97 a year, with a 7-day free trial) andlifetime (€49.97, one-time payment). Prices include VAT; Google Play may show a price adapted to your country.
- Purchase and payment go through Google Play, under its terms. We never have access to your payment methods.
- Free trial: you are not charged for 7 days. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and is charged. We remind you before the trial ends. One trial per account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period. Cancel at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions; Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid.
- The lifetime offer gives access to Premium for as long as the Dossier Rouge service is operated.
- Refunds follow Google Play's rules. Digital content is supplied immediately after purchase: by buying, you agree that supply starts before the end of the withdrawal period and waive that right to the extent permitted by law.
4. Content and intellectual property
Stories, texts, voices, illustrations, music, and the Dossier Rouge name and logo are protected. They are available for yourpersonal, non-commercial use, in the app or on the website. Copying, extracting, redistributing them or bypassing the service's protections is not allowed. Stories downloaded for offline listening stay inside the app, are encrypted, and require a connection at least once every 30 days.
5. Free version and ads
The free version is funded by ads (Google AdMob). An ad may show when you open a story. Manage personalised ads in Account → Privacy choices.
6. What you agree not to do
- Share your account beyond its intended use, resell access or bypass the device limit.
- Disrupt the service or try to access other users' data or our servers.
- Use bots or automated tools to extract content.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close the account, after telling you except in an emergency.
7. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service available and working, but cannot guarantee it at all times (maintenance, outages, connection). We are only liable for direct damage caused by our fault, within the limits set by law.
8. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Important changes are announced in the app before they apply. If you do not accept them, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, write to us first at contact@dossierrouge.com. You can also use the consumer mediator [mediator's name and website] free of charge, or go to the competent court.
